Jean Cayeaux won the French Dykes Medal in 1931.
The Red Douglas won the U.S. Dykes Medal in 1941.
Bear in mind that the Dykes Medal is awarded in the UK, the US, France, and
Australasia.
I list only 4 French winners (luckily including Jean Cayeaux, which was
mentioned in "The World of Irises,", and a couple of others I gleaned from
the Superstition catalog. If anyone has a more complete list of French Dykes
winners, please post it, with, if available: Variety, hybridizer, year of
introduction and year medal awarded, if available.
