Happy Easter everyone...
It's not terrible outside, so I took a few note on some VERY newly planted
iris FYI. Now, you must understand that I'm not that great of an iris
grower... so you can assume that if Kathyguest got these kind of results...
you should do as well or better!!! Pardon me if I don't have the hybridizer
and color in all cases... don't feel like locating THAT piece of paper right
now <g> (I SHOULD be cooking....)
My 2 year old garden:
Maui Moonlight - Aitken '87... a wonderful BB (IB?) of pale yellow that will
send you into orbit!! Huge clump after 2 years
Miss Nellie - Burch '83 - ditto
Demi et Demi - Sutton '95 - TB - large clump
Orinco Flow - Bartlett '93... believe this is a plicata... enormous clump
Sky Blue Pink - Niswonger '94 - TB - huge clump
Now - my one year garden:
Jazzaroo - Blyth '88... SDB (maybe)... 7 increases
Prism - M. Smith - maybe a MTB - 5 increases
Cherry Glen - Maryott '94 - TB - 4 increases
En Garde - Maryott '94 - 6 increases
Butterscotch Carpet - SDB by Chapman of Canada... 9 increases
160-S-1... SDB seedling - J. Hudson... 6 increases
Witching - 2 years in... 13 increases!!
Firebug, Gatty... 2 years - I don't even want to stay out long enough to
count
So - although that's not a terrific amount of information - for those who
feel like a research project today, those are some DAMN good growers
Kathyguest... zone 5, in the Buffalo, NY area (but in the SNOWBELT)
