TB - CULT: Red Iris (was What's Blooming)

Rima,

Actually, there are several shades of "red" iris. One is the purplish reds
(what I referred to earlier as the "red cabbage" sort), of which LADY
FRIEND is a good example. Another is the red-browns (the Irish Setter
reds). One that I am growing now in this shade is RED TORNADO (Schreiners,
88). Another of the same type, also by Schreiners, but older, is POST TIME.
A third shade of red iris is the blackish reds ( the Bing Cherry reds). The
classic example of this type is CHERRY SMOKE (D. Meek, 78). Another of this
type you might look for is GARNET SPORT, bred by Fred Gadd in Connecticut.
