Remembering one's favorite medians at this time of the year requires
a long memory in NW Iowa. Alan Ensminger's BLUE-EYED BLONDE has to
come close to the top of the list, as does his MORNING SHOW. The
latter won President's Cup at the 1990 AIS convention in Omaha. And
it is great show, too, in a clump which if forms very rapidly. (And
Rima, it is a great "red" IB.) I have to mention Barry Blyth's
(notice this, all who were questioning the hardiness of his
things) POSH, which quickly forms a good clump, blooms its
golden/orange head off, and comes back for the same thing next year.
All these are IBs. I'm not a great fan of medians, but I wouldn't
want to be without any of these.

new iris shoots are showing, and here I am trapped in my office
