Chris replies:
The alfalfa tea may be applied as a foliar spray or just watered in around each plant
with a watering can for uptake by the feeder roots. If you apply as the latter
sprinkling so that you wet down the foliage at the same time as watering the soil
area around the plants you likely will get the benefit of both!
