Dorothy, a member of both the Iris Society of Dallas and the Fort Worth Iris
Society, passed away this week after a battle with cancer. She attended
over 30 national AIS conventions and was a judge.
Dorothy loved irises all her life. She often told the story of how famous
hybridizer David Hall named his plicata iris DOT AND DASH (1960) for her.
Her maiden name was Dorothy (Dot) Dasher.
The Fort Worth Iris Society will make a memorial contribution in her honor
to the AIS.
Joe Spears, President
Fort Worth Iris Society
