Anticipating way too many seedlings this coming year: for those of you
who hybridize and are tight on space, how close do you pack them in? I
have lots of room, but am lazy or let's say I have limited time to take
care of them.
Can I squeeze four or five into a square foot till I see what the bloom
is like or will they refuse to bloom in such a crowded state? I'm not
especially concerned about diseases - I am selecting for resistance.
I'm curious to hear how this varies in different parts of the
country/world or if it is mostly a matter of personal and/or cultivar
preference.
