Hi Jim:
I'm the current "repository" for electronic clipart at Iris-L & if you
can tell me what graphics files you can access (or what software you use
for preparing your newsletters), I can send you 11 different drawings as
email attachments. Altho some pieces were full color originally, I've
converted them all to either black & white or grayscale since most
people on the List have to photocopy their final product, however they
produce their master pages.
I've put these files into a variety of formats (file extensions such as
.jpg, .gif, .bmp, etc.) that nearly everyone who's asked for them has
been able to open & print or, better yet, save & place in their page
programs. There have been a couple of failures due to incompatible
systems or other tech limits that have proved insoluble -- I suspect
this has been due to the way the person's email program works or is set
up to receive but I haven't been able to suggest a solution
"long-distance". Anyway, nearly everyone has succeeded with one or
another format.
Let me know if you'd like to try this clipart, some of which was drawn
by folks on the List. And you're absolutely right -- the iris in all its
many forms isn't as easy to find in clipart as is the rose!
