My yard looks like a tent city -- every azalea, my iris beds, half my
pond (the end with irises) and the cool weather crops from my garden are
all covered with plastic. When I ran out of plastic, I went to old bed
linens, but fortunately for my relationship with my neighbors, those are
confined to the back yard.

We had temperatures in the low 20s (Fahrenheit) Monday and Tuesday, and
are expected to drop even lower tonight and Thursday, then warm up so
that lows are in the 30s Saturday.
By next Tuesday, our forecast is for temps in the 70s. I wonder if
plants can "catch a cold" from the big temperature swings?
