The Big Chill

The first night of the cold snap was not as cold as predicted here in
Farmville. We registered about 26F. Clouds are moving in, so perhaps if
they hold for tonight we will not reach the predicted 15F. Personally, I'm
guessing low 20's then warming up through the weekend.

No signs of damage this morning to tulips or narcissus; a few remaining
reticulatas also OK. No buds on SDB or MDB as yet (including I. pumila) so
they should be OK too. I do expect to lose bloom on I. albicans and on
some arilbreds that had been pushed along by being on the south-facing side
of a building.
