This is waaaaaaaay overstated. Judges cannot accept money for judging iris
shows. Period.
If a judge is asked to give a program in their field of expertise, it is
the obligation of the hosting club or Region to reimburse them for time and
expenses. A whole different thing than judging a show. Going mileage rate
is about $.33 per mile as I recall. Hotel or travel (flight) expenses all
go in that category. And then an honorarium of say $75--100 per speaking
engagement... Two sessions = more money than one.....
