On to your question about weeding. Like many of the others I suggest
you use a pre-emergent unless you are dead set on organic gardening and
then the only help I have to offer is pulling by hand. Not necessarily
yours, but still hand pulling. We use a combination of pre-emergent,
RoundUp, and hand pulling. We also try to hire some help for the early
part of the year to help us get ready for the annual tour. If you are
the type of person who gets along well with a hoe try the scuffle-hoe.
I tend to beat a weed to death with a normal hoe but even I can use a
scuffle-hoe.
