The ONE CCD that I have seen that would come even CLOSE to
recoding the amount of Data that can be in a mear 3 x 5
print, is being used in a telescope and is 3ft x 3ft in
size and needs to be super cooled with lq. He.! not something
a person could put in their camera case and carry with them.
It also cost over $5 megabucks to design and build it.
It's been used 2 or 3 times so far. Takes a Cray S.C. to
operate it.
