For the last three years, the tet La's that got the slimy white
leaf in the center of the fan did not recover in time to bloom. The
hardier ones (diploid) that did not get the white leaf syndrome bloomed,
but it was later than usual. If the earlier blooming TB's got freezer
burn, they probably will not bloom. The later blooming TB's are probably
not affected by the recent freezes. I see brown (scorched) leaves on
some of the TB's like LADY FRIEND and EPICENTER. We'll just have to wait
and see.
A cloud cover moved in last night, saving us from a fourth night
in a row of freezing temperatures. It had been predicted to be 25o this
morning, but it is 34o. Thank goodness!
