I am familiar with Tigridia as I had it once in Lexington. I planted
it one spring, and it bloomed nicely. The next season, I planted it, and
sadly it became Chipmunk food. If I find corms locally, which I have not,
I probably will give it another try since it would not have to be dug for
the winter.

This sounds like an exact description of the plant I saw. Last
summer, I saw this plant in various plantings, but have yet to find them
for sale.

I will keep a look out for this book. It sounds very useful.
