Rita,
The plant I saw was some form of Dietes. I know what a Neomarica
looks like, and this was not the same plant that was in the show. Thinking
of Neomarica (often called "Marcia" in Florida), both of mine have buds,
and one looks like it will bloom tomorrow.
Both plants were covered four consecutive nights last week because of
sub-freezing temperatures.
