Yes, what Ian mentions above is indeed true. Even a simple written reference
with a city name and state/province is a most helpful item. (hint: use full
names for states or provinces instead of postal abbreviations)This is also
true for all postings of messages to the Iris List. It is VERY helpful if
this info is at the end of everyones e-mail messages as it adds an element
of horticultural context to your messages. A zonal number along with type of
zonal system also helps further delineate your growing conditions. Answers
to iris growing questions can vary drastically depending on your local
climate.
So, for convenience and accuracy why not add this type of info to your
automatic signature lineage if your e-mail program has this capability...
