I recently read of the "organic systemic pesticide" Merit (Imidacloprid).
It is corn cob based, you apply to soil and wash in to control beetle grubs.
It was mentioned as a possible control of Lily Beetle (in NE, coming soon to
your neighborhood). I'm always hopeful when the word organic appears but
after the recent discussion on Iris-L about corn-based products for
suppressing the germination of weed seed, I wonder if anyone has had
experience with Merit.
