I just took a look at the picture that Christy posted and it would seem
to me that any iris that color would have to be loaded with
pelargonidin. If it is truly that color then it is the first time that a
truly RED iris has occurred. Whoever developed it could make a fortune
just by a little genetic splicing. If that color iris appeared in my
garden my first comment would be "Move over Mr. Dykes!!!"
