Re: HYB.Breeding for Older Form and the Market

Yes Walter, Theresa and everyone!

This is the sort of comments I was looking for. What is Marie Caillet's
stand on preferences in re to LAs?

Also, didn't I read in one the AIS BULLETINS that the Siberian SHAKER'S
PRAYER has a 'species' look? When I've determined whether or not I can
manage to grow SIBs successfully here, it is at the top of the SIB wish
list.

Thanks Walter. I believe Jeff said the current handbook for judging is
being modified-if I'm remembering the post correctly. Would that involve
any of these ideas? Are they perhaps loosening or tightening requirements?
I haven't picked up on exactly what might be entailed, but sometimes
updates modify the current course somewhat. At least that has been true of
what's in and what's out in the cattle industry. There have been many
changes in the desired 'ideal' from the 50's to now.

I'm sure the following is on every growers list!

Zone 7 and hoping for still more posts on this topic. Perhaps Mr. Cook in
Florida?
