Good morning everyone. I have a box of iris that I received last fall and
now I don't really know what to do with them. Some of the names are: WITCH'S
WAND, MOOMBA, LULLABY OF SPRING, HOT STREAK, CITY LIGHTS, APOLLODORUS, just
to name a few. I know if I plant them now they won't bloom this year and
most likely not next year. I guess what I really wanted to know is: is there
anything special I should do to the rhizome before I plant them? Some people
have told me to soak them first. They have been in a cool room all winter,
but are swiveled up pretty bad. Some people say trim them up . I just am not
for sure what to do. I know to prepare my ground to use 6-10-10 or bone
meal. Any help would be appreciated, I've never put out iris at this time of
year.
