Hi Mr. Zurbrigg,
Thank you for answering my post regarding Quivering Flame. "Shingling" sounds
like a pretty good way of describing those petaloids on the standards. I
called them "gills" when I was trying to describe them to another L-er.
Yes, you may have all you want from my clump. I will be digging it this year
and saving a few pieces for myself to restart the clump. With the exception of
one piece I promised to the other L-er, you may have the rest of it. I thought
it had an abundance of pollen but can't exactly recall. I will send you some
pollen if it has any when it blooms this spring. If it has pollen I will try
to put it on something. Should I cross it with other variegata or amoena
types? I would like to try it with some good, modern SDBs.
I have another question for you. This time about reblooming SDBs. I would
like to add more of them to my garden. I have ordered your Baby Prince and
would like to get more. I am looking for rebloomers with good modern form but
don't know what to try. Can you suggest some good ones? You can send your
suggestions to me directly.
