Wow! I had visitors from iris-l yesterday. Paul and Yvonne Tyerman from
Canberra (pronounced CAM-bra)were in the district and caught me green
fingered and gumbooted! With some very clever detective work they
discovered my whereabouts. My ever enduring partner, Geoff, sat back and
listened to us talk in foreign tongues (irisish?)then a tour of the
garden revealed many pampered Bearded irises amongst general disarray.
(If the garden be the window to the soul, then a very disorganized soul
dwells here.)
So much talking to do, and no idea where to start. Paul has the
advantage of youth, experience and knowledge. I can only match him with
my enthusiasm.
Paul and Yvonne can bear witness to the fact that I do have kangaroos in
my iris gardens, along with a very destructive wallaby.
Any one else visiting Castlemaine soon? I'll just go and tidy up first!
