Sounds like you remember part of it <G>.
Actually, the pattern seems to be more important than the color. The
inhibitor of purple pigments that makes many TBs white, yellow, or pink
selfs doesn't affect the aril pathways that produce those same pigments.
Recessive patterns like glaciatas and plicatas can be expressed because
that inhibitor is missing. I've found that these patterns are more likely
to let the aril markings come through. I've used white-ground and
yellow-ground plicatas and bicolors as well as pink and all have given me
interesting things. It's just that pink glaciatas, pink-ground plicatas,
bicolors with pink standards, and pink halos have given me the best overall
results.
