Have just sent in my registration for the convention. I had not planned
on Oklahoma City because, with my daughter now living in Ft. Worth, I
had intended to wait for the Dallas Convention in 2000. But I was
persuaded to reconsider, so I will be going to Oklahoma City. Got such
a good deal on the airfare, and prices for the hotel and convention are
so reasonable, I couldn't resist. I don't remember much posting on
Iris-talk. Have we had anything about the scheduling? Would be
interested in something to print out for reference regarding section
meetings, etc. Also, will there be identifying badges or nametags for
those of us on Iris-talk, as last year?. I did not make it to Denver,
so don't have one. Getting excited now about Oklahoma City. Have never
been in that part of the country. Looking forward to more information.
Lorraine Miller, in Quincy, WA where the Iris are just beginning to
show a bit of growth. Hardly any snow this winter. About 3 occasions
when it snowed for part of a day and then melted off soon after. That
is true only of the Columbia Basin. Record snowfall in the Cascades.
The winds coming off of the Cascades are cold and things don't really
start growing much until the cold winds discontinue. Sunshine
yesterday, but overcast again today and windy and cold.
