I tried to buy the list a year ago, and never received it. I don't
think that they are selling it anymore. I wanted it to get the
addresses of a couple hybridizers. Was this worth $10 to me? Yes. Was
it worth the big big bucks that a direct marketer would be willing to
pay? No. I can foresee use for AIS members as a tool for club
presidents to contact non club members in their area, getting in touch
with judges or guest speakers, etc. Just because it may also be used
to foist junk mail off on us is no reason to penalize legitimate users.
