Hi everyone!
I was on "no mail" for a few weeks (thank you, John) while recuperating
from an illness. I've been well for about a week and a half now, but I
just didn't have time to come up for air until today. While I was
off-list, I managed to call every west-coast iris grower except
Schreiner's, Cooley's, and Ghio (I want to be far far away from here
when the phone bill arrives), kept tabs on the way-too-early bloomstalks
in my front yard (up to 7 now...and it froze last night), and completed
my Eagle Scout project yesterday.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back. Now I must go cover my irises, because
it's going to freeze again tonight...
