Congratulations on the rain!!! I bet your surviving MBI irises will love
it. I don't know what to say about those ants. They must have been
starving for food to eat your irises. There is enough debris, seeds, leaf
litter, etc. that the ants in my garden are welcome there, because they
clean up all the dead stuff for me.
