Pretty flowers

Title: Pretty flowers

Have to share a funny story.  My dad has been living in Guadalajara, Mexico since he retired 10 years ago.
I recently visited him for the first time down there.  (He usually visits me!)  Anyway, on the way to his house from the airport, he kept telling me about these "real pretty purple and white flowers" that were blooming then, but he didn't have a clue as to what they were.  We got to the house and he showed me the cactus, bougainvillea, roses, etc, etc - finally went around the corner of the house and sure enough, there were the "pretty purple and white flowers".  I started laughing and told him he has some Siberian iris and some bearded iris - not sure of exactly what.  I told him I was attempting to grow iris with some luck, here he didn't even try and he has beautiful blooms!

Teresa zone 5 - no "pretty flowers" here yet.
