Re: Flowering schedule for iris

From: "Mark, Maureen" <MARKM@tc.gc.ca>

Diana,

I'm in zone 4 but the bloom period is pretty close to zone 5. For the iris
that I grow:

mid-April: I. reticulata, I. danfordiae
mid-May: MDB, SDB, arils
end May: IB
early June: MTB, BB, TB
mid June: Siberians, I. pseudacorus, I. versicolor
end June: Dutch, English, Japanese
mid-Sept: reblooming TBs

I think that spurias and lousianas are after TBs and junos are before. I
may have left something out but I'm sure that others will chime in.

I don't know of any iris that grow in the July and August in zone 5. But
I'm waiting for Mike Sutton to come up with everbloomers.
