I have not checked the species catalogs, but the desperate plea accompanying
for the same information accompanying the article stongly suggests not.
Pallida? Yes.
And fortunately it is also a very wonderful iris. Worthy of all respect.
Stong, beautiful, interestingly variable, superior foliage including two
variegated forms, comparatively shade tolerant, delightfully fragrant,
withstands neglect, and you can make orris root out of the rhizomes. I think
of it as the I. pseudacorus of the bearded world: appreciated by those who
know what nice is, but often taken for granted.
