Re: REF: The ARCHIVES (Both of Them!), and Seasonal News.

Anner, thank you for the information on archives. I will try it out later
today. The little yellow species iris is I. danfordiae. Sometimes it is
the first to bloom here, but this year I. reticulata GEORGE beat it by
three weeks. Could be because I pot GEORGE and remove it from the ground
for the summer to dry in the barn and only sink the pot again in late
October or November. Will try the same route with I. danfordiae (which
I've seen spelled several different ways) this fall.

Anner, I don't see how you can have a small yard! You seem to grow so many
different cultivars! My hands are sore from the little hoe (though I
confess I tend to use it to chop as well as gently nudge), though it is
undoubtedly faster than strict hand weeding. All the same, I will add a
fork to my arsenal.

training today before further attack on weeds!
