The weather here was pretty nice yesterday so, nosy person that I am, gently
uncovered my iris seeds to see if there was any germination. I did see
sprouts already on one of the sets of seeds. Drat! This is far too early
here in Wisconsin to have this. We have plenty of freezing temperatures to
come yet.
I am thinking of digging them up and bringing them in to complete germination
in the house. Would I damage them by doing this?
Or, I have these "grow domes" that would go over the spot where I have the
seeds planted that would keep the soil warmer and protect any seedlings that
may pop up. I just wonder if it would be enough to protect them through our
cold nights.
If I'd have planted seed in pots this would have been easier!
