In our garden, Victoria Falls will tear the rhizomes' roots out of the soil
before she leans. Grew her for about 15 years and NEVER had the first
indication of a lean. It has to be the soil and growing conditions, but the
weird thing is that we are VERY sandy with huge amounts of old, rotted
sawdust (50 years old minimum, 70 tons over the last dozen years) dug into
the iris garden. (i.e., very loose, VERY rapid draining)
