Sorry Glenn, that's 500 feet of sandy loam. I have heard up to 1,500 feet
in some areas, but it is hard for me to believe. Much nicer than west Texas
(I hope I didn't offend anyone) :-) Highest daytime temps during the
summer rarely push past 107, usually between 90 and 105. We irrigate every
three to four weeks unless it has been 105 for more than a couple days and
then it's two weeks. Really only irrigate about 4 to 5 times during the
summer.
