Judy,
I have had one clump of Pulsatilla vulgaris for years. Nothing seems to
bother it. There is also a white form and other species that are available
from rock garden nurseries. It also has lovely seed heads. I have heard
that it doesn't like to be moved, so pick a good spot for it when you plant
it.
