The Melissa virus is real, but you cannot be infected if you do not open
the attachement that contains it.  As with any virus, it cannot get into
your computer when you simply read an e-mail message.

Bottom line: don't open any attachements unless you have been informed in
advance by the sender of their contents.

AND DON'T SEND ATTACHEMENTS TO E-MAIL LISTS!
