CULT: Reversion To White

From: John I Jones <jijones@ix.netcom.com>

Yeah, I know, can't happen, old wives tales, it happened to somebody's
neighbor, but
only on odd years, etc, etc. :>))

I received the following and aside from somebody kindly explaining to me why I
have to be the lightning rod that gets all of the wierd ones, what kindly
worded things could I tell her? (Please, no comments about Springhill, we have
been over that ground a lot...)

*******

I have tried to raise BEARDED IRISES. I have bought about 40 from springhill
in ill.
They have all been all award winning irises. They will bloom about two
years than they will stop blooming . My friend and I
across the street have been having white irises appear where we
planted only color ones. Our question is-- Is it possible for the award
winning flowers to go back to the old white ones. We have not put any
white ones in the beds with the colored ones. But now we have white ones
only. We had some of the old whites in other places in the yard. I give
up on irises and have about 300 daylilies. But If we could find out about
out problem we may get back into irises. They are so pretty. Please help
us. We are both retired and love working in the flower garden. My name is
Evelyn Deemy. My email is----ldeemy@c-gate.net address- 925 Hudson

Thank you very much, Evelyn Deemy
