With bearded, I have noticed that germination is indicative of
eventual bloom season. Arilbred crosses are the first to germinate,
followed by the plicatas, which are the most generous in first year
germinations.
This year some of the beardless (JI's and ensibes of Christy
Hensler) started germinating with the earliest bearded. Pure
Siberians have just started to sprout and are later sprouting than
some of the Signa species-x seed planted in January.

BEFORE THE STORM is quite early here, and for me has been long gone
by show time. HELLO DARKNESS is somewhat early and may also be gone
before the local show. The older PATENT LEATHER and INTERPOL are
late bloomers and usually don't make it for show time.
