RE: TB: bloom report - or how to brighten a dull day

Classic Look is gorgeous! If you don't want it, send it to me!
If you are looking for reliable rebloom, I have been lucky with lots of
Byers things. Some have less than exemplary form, however. My most
dependable rebloomers (some long since discarded as dogs) have been: ROCK
STAR, REINCARNATION, EGGNOG, BORN AGAIN, DANTE'S INFERNO, STINGRAY, WITCH
OF ENDOR, PAPRIKA FONOS, GLISTENING ICICLE, FLOORSHOW, VICTORIA FALLS, PLUM
WINE, and JEWEL BABY.

In the garden, flowerless.
The following TB's I have grown for long enough, and have only ever seen
bloom on Catalyst:
Beverly Sills
Catalyst
Chinese Empress
Classic Look
English Charm
Frontier Marshall
Full Tide
Heather Blush
Meaghan elizabeth
Mountain Violet
Pirate's Quest
Polar Queen
Toastmaster
Velvet Vista
Victoria Falls

Frontier Marshall I have grown for the last 10 years, with no bloom other
than spring. Ann Jackson assured me that Velvet Vista hardly stops blooming
in her garden in Melbourne!

Of the litties, I often get winter bloom on Little Louie, usually floppy
and
disappointing. I also had a bloom on Baby Blessed last winter.

I'll be very interested to see what you are importing Colleen.
I have quite a number of other rebloomers in my garden, that are only
fairly
new. I have not bothered too much with rebloomers, as I am not interested
in
watering through the summer. My garden gets very dry and the irises mostly
go dormant. I remember you saying your's were increasing well, a few weeks
back. Most of mine are just starting to put out heaps of increase now. A
few
have increase on increase, and these were in slightly damper areas of the
garden. I will have to watch that they don't rot in winter.
Cheers, Jan in Aus.
