Maureen,

Remember the old saw about a watched pot? However, I hope you see some
signs of approaching bloom soon.

The MDBs came into bloom around their normal date here (April 20).
Yesterday the first two IBs opened up, RARE EDITION and SEASON TICKET. This
is the second earliest debut of the IBs here in twenty years. The weather
has been milder and drier here than normal. This week temperatures are
reaching toward 80 degrees during the daytime, though still falling to the
low 40s or upper 30s at night. TB stalks are bursting out all over the
place - should have some in bloom by the weekend (and our Show date is June
9!).

SEASON TICKET has upheld its reputation for adding extra parts, but even
more exuberantly that usual - the first bloom to open had 4 standards, 5
style arms and 5 falls!
