Dear Beth  - unlessthey have a long pedigree, I just let the tulips stay in 
the ground and get some more -- BUT you may want to consider whether you want 
them or not!  There are some people who would not have a tulip again because 
the draw moles and voles (i forget which eat them) and then they begin on the 
iris rhizomes, always the most expensive, it seems!  They don't like
