Yeah, Walta, you're right. That's what it is. I was able to surgery the
one clump in place, but had to fork the other one (the beautiful seedling,
of course). Saved about a third of the rhizomes, which have now been bathed
in 20% bleach solution, rinsed, and are drying out before replanting. Some
of the stalks may bloom though cut, allowing me to pluck some pollen.
