Evenin' all...
Didn't do bad at Edmond... Guess my iris-show-itis has been reinvigorated...
Went out and chopped down 10 to 12 to take to tomorrow's show, plus recycled
2 of the 6 entered today for tomorrow.
But, HELP... I seem to have 2 or 3 that are marked (with original markers in
tact) and I cannot find in my LA Catalogs... I think I got everything from
Farron Campbell that year, but mayhaps a few from Perry Dyer...
BAYOU SHORT STUFF..... ( I hope) What is descrip??? It's short and has
4 blooms open/opening... Great show flower if they'll hold, but not one for
the long garden haul, obviously...
CHARLIE's ANGEL ???? No clue... Hasn't opened yet...
ACHAFALAYA, a '98 of Farron's is growing and blooming gangbusters and is
gorgeous.
Then in one of the older LA beds, I have this gorgeous one that blooms
prolifically every year... And there is so much Houttanyia grown up
underneath that I could find few black metal markers... FREDDIE BOY is the
only one close.... However, I think it is probably more likely THIS I
LOVE... Anybody have descrips on either/both of those???
Thanks much... All iris books presently seem to be buried deeply either in
stacks or on bookshelves... Can't even find my Louisiana Iris big Book...
Kath in OKC.... =^.^= Makin' tags for tomorrow's early 7am entry
opening...
