CULT: Foliage Only Irises

The following is a list of bearded irises that I have been growing
for foliage only. Some have been here for five years, a few have
been moved to different locations in the garden, and all still refuse
to bloom. They get the same TLC that the bloomers get. The last
two years have been very good for irises here, and I would imagine
that more than ninety percent of what I grow has bloomed. Am I
the only person having trouble blooming these irises? These were
all bought from the originators or a reliable source, so I feel they
are true to name. They are in different rows or beds and are
scattered all over the garden. They are:

Misty Lady

Too Sweet
Velvet Underground

Walkara
One that was going to be on this list, Overnight Sensation, finally
bloomed the other day. It was a big disappointment....just an
ordinary blah blue bi-tone (neglecta). It did not measure up to its
name.
