I have also had FANCY TALES for several years, and my experience with it is
similar to John Reeds'. It is a slow grower,often falls over, needing to be
staked, and the crosses I have gotten from it are generally weak and
disappointing in both branching and flower form. However, this year FANCY
TALES is at its very best, standing tall and colorful among the garden's
best bloomers, and showing no signs of falling. Like the little girl, when
it is good, it is very, very good, and, of course, it IS a space-ager. If
it's still blooming on Sunday, I'll give it another try in crossing.
