I live in Missouri and the wind up has been real strong this spring. I think the wind is knoting them over up here. Also a lot of them growing above their normal height.

    Gravity?  The blooms too heavy for the stalks, gradually pulling
    them over.  Might be caused by too much shade while the stalks
    are growing, causing more slender, weaker stem substance? 
    Mine are more apt to do this in shady growing conditions than
    in full sun.
