Dear Mark,
During the drought last year you see difference in irises from the garden and from the pots. The ones in pots had 8 to 10 inches of roots and ones from garden had 2 to 3 inches of roots. I have had MDB'S, SDB'S, MTB'S, IB'S, and BB'S in pots for over 2 years. That way I hold them till I can get the ground ready. I have close 2000 different varieties iris.
This year I am in a project with PC group to see if we can raise PC in Missouri. If we can then that means one type of irises we can raise in Missouri. I have them in my woods not in direct sunlit.

I have used a good quality mix of potting soil for some plants of
WINTERLAND, and they appear to be doing well.
