Paul Black & Tom Johnson left Oklahoma over a year ago (actually almost 2
years ago now) and moved to Salem Oregon, just down the road from Keith
Keppel and all... The garden is still called Mid-America, even though it's
now in Oregon. They regularly maintain their catalog listing advertisement
in the AIS BULLETIN. Their 2000 catalog is $3.00 and all the Oregon
information in all of the last 4 to 5 BULLETIN's is correct.
Paul & Tom's former OKC 2 1/2 acre garden & residence was sold to a couple
here in OKC that appear to be trying to keep it up... It's barricaded like
Fort Knox now with black wrought iron gates and other various fencing all
across the front. Upon talking to Paul in Dallas at the AIS National, the
new owners are enlarging/remodeling the house and have plans to tear out that
gorgeous water garden area, between the house and where the sheltered hostas
were... a shame as I'm sure many of you will recall it's spectacular design
surrounded by the most gorgeous landscape tree, shrub, & plant specimens and
it's own natural beauty with fish big enough to catch...
Kath (missing my neighbors) in OKC... =^.^=
