SHOW: WIS early show results

The Wisconsin Iris Society held their 31st annual early show on 5/20/00 and
despite the torrential rain and heavy hail we had a couple days before show
the entries looked very good. Number of entries was lower than some years but
I would estimate total to be about 130.

For anyone interested in such.. here are the results

Best Specimen, Best SDB, Best Median--JEWELER'S ART (Linda Doffek)
Best MDB--DAISY FRESH (Linda Doffek)
Best IB--BUTTER PECAN (Linda Doffek)
Best Arilbred--MARTHA MIA (Dorothy Vande)
Best Siberian--PERRY'S BLUE (Linda Doffek)
Best Border Bearded--HONEY APRICOT (Francis Rogers)
Best Tall Bearded--DESIGNING WOMAN (Francis Rogers)
Best MTB--CRYSTAL RUFFLES (Linda Doffek)
Best Seedling--(Francis Rogers) (didn't think to write down number of this
excellent luminata BB seedling. Francis had a few TDF seedlings in show.
Best Historic--NEW WAVE (Dororthy Vande) this was a tall bearded white and I
was not sure if it was named correctly.
Sweepstakes Silver Medal--Linda Doffek
Sweepstakes Bronze Medal--Francis Rogers

So, these were my "bragging" results!! Shame on me!! I was thrilled to win
my first ever medal in Sweepstakes and my second Best Specimen in show. Our
club still refers to it as QUEEN and we like it like that!!!
